an apron

an apron for my little girl. handmade using a vintage tablecloth. it's a wee bit big, i thought she wouldn't be all that interested in wearing it just yet. turns out i was wrong. she loves it, and wants to wear it all the time. painting, baking, playdough, washing the dishes (and the floor!) or just when mama is wearing hers.

i love this pattern. i'm not really one for following patterns, but this pattern was so easy and made this such a pleasant sewing experience. find it here, at sew liberated.

short pants or long shorts?

Handmade. For our new little friend that was born in a hurry.

(Oh, how I am envious of those stories)

Adapted from this pattern by this lovely lady here.

They may not be perfect. But she loves. Loves them. Especially the one that goes "oink oink".

Adapted from a project in this book.

...

Recent vintage fabric recycling from my Nanna's op shop.

(Made with love for our newest little friend Aurora)

...

One little pillow.

Turned into a whole bunch of new pillow covers.

(This is so simple and it equals a brand new look for the couch. All I did was use vintage pillow cases, measure them against my pillow insert for size, cut it to size, turn it inside out and sew it back together. No buttons required, as the pillow case already has the foldy -bit!)
