A summer BBQ

I wanted to share with you today a salad I made for a Christmas get together with friends last night. It was a perfect summers day, 30 degrees Celsius and just right for a summer salad! This salad, named by my sister as the 'Strawberry Salad' is so quick and easy, and so effective. I also think it's a great one to use at Christmas time - just look at those colours - so Chrsitmassy!! Strawberry Salad
Here's the recipe...
For the dressing:
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup Castor sugar 1/4 cup vinegar 2 tbs soy sauce 2 tsp sesame oil For the salad:
1 Bag baby spinach leaves
1 Punnet strawberries 1 Small packet pecan nuts 1 Packet crunchy fried noodles Mix salad ingredients together, pour over dressing and your done! Mwa! So, let me get back to our BBQ. We had a lovely evening, good food, good company - what more could you wish for? We sat on the deck, long after the sun had gone down, drinks in hand, mosquitoes biting at our ankles (or any other piece of flesh they could find for that matter!)...

...and three candles gently lighting the sky as night fell. I sat on the swing, we talked, and laughed, and talked some more as good friends do.

Then, it was time to say goodnight, and Merry Chrsitmas.
